Announcing, the first annual...
GREAT BATTLESTAR GALACTICA SHOOTOUT!
(theme music from classic tv show starts)
Here are the rules:
1) A total of 20 participants in this game. 6 Colonial Vipers, 10 Cylon Raiders, and 4 Corellian Corvettes to represent the Battlestar.
2) Vipers and Raiders May only use two Skyblast A guns and a class 5 shield. The Corvettes may use Salamanca or
Skyblast B turrets, and may mount ANY gun on their gun mounts except for nomad weapons. Corvettes may equip level 10 shields.
Bots and bats allowed. Starkiller torpedos are allowed. No mines, missiles, or cruise disruptors allowed.
(Weapons Loadout subject to change)
3) The Corvettes represent the Battlestar Galactica. They must fly in formation, and may not engage cruise
engines durning the course of the game (there are no FTL jumps here). They are also not allowed to use afterburners.
To remain "in character", the driver of the convoy should not make sudden movements, but there's no way to regulate that (it is in the best
interest of the pilot to move slowly to provide a platform for the other corvettes to shoot their turrets from).
4) Bots and Bats are allowed.
GAME PLAY
The object of the game is for the Battlestar Galactica to travel from point A to point B with at least one corvette surviving. If it
reaches Earth (point B), the Colonials win. If the Battlestar is destroyed, the Cylons win.
The game can then be "reset" and played over. Best 2 out of 3 wins.
Once a player is killed, he/she is to stay out for the rest of the game. Unfortunately, killed players may not undock to be spectators.
Optional Rule: Cylon Raiders are allowed unlimited respawns from a designated base, and the Colonial Vipers are allowed 4 additional fighters.
Vipers are not allowed to respawn.
